Truly an incredible and trustworthy team. Great prompt communication. Drove over from Knoxville. They had no problem with me getting the truck checked out by a mechanic in Asheville before purchasing. Buying process was easy. Truck was clean and in fantastic shape. I would absolutely drive 3 hours to buy from them again. Full endorsement.
Proud Mom
Back in 2017 I went there looking for a car. I wish I knew the salesman's name. He probably doesn't work there anymore. But I was worried about being misled. I'd been a single mom for a very long time and I was worried about being sold a bad car. There was a green car I was looking at and the salesman told me that I didn't want that car. He told me it had problems with it that had to be fixed and that they got it in not that long ago. He then walked me over to this white 2011 Kia forte. It had 86,000 miles on it at the time. We went for a test drive. I didn't know much about cars except that every car I've ever had before that one broke down and left me stranded. I have just had a lot of bad experiences. I know he knew I was worried. Finally he told me "If I sold bad cars, I wouldn't make any money". So I trusted him and I bought the Kia for $8,000 cash. Its now 2025. My car... My 2011 Kia forte... has over 207,000 mi on it. Aside from 2 coils, a tune-up, my brakes/rotors being changed out a few times and the battery needing to be replaced twice, I have not had any problems with my car until very recently. After 9 years and 207,000 mi, the transmission is just now starting to go. I bought that car from Jim Cook Chevrolet when my daughter was 9 years old and in the fourth grade. She's now a grown woman and in college. She learned how to drive in that car. My daughter ran over a dead deer in that car, and the car sits only 6 in from the ground. That car has been wrecked a few times and repaired. The last time it was hit it was totaled while my daughter was driving it- It was not her fault, someone hit her. But even then, it protected her and she still drove away in it. Today my Kia has been sitting outside in the cold for 3 weeks without being started. One of the tires has started to go flat. I went out there today and turn the key and it started right up without hesitation. That Kia is the best car I've ever had. I don't know who that salesman was, but he was the most honest car salesman I've ever met. He sold me a GOOD car. If the salesman I worked with is any representation of this dealership, this is absolutely the place to go. Honest, straightforward, and focused on doing right by the customer.

When the supposed honest army boy salesman there sales you a car and the cigarette/power out put doesn't work and the financing manager says it's not covered by the warranty but it wasn't working so much for them being honest a bunch of lying crooks and the army boy is supposed to be honest just a disgrace to his uniform do not buy a car go to the one in Morganton all they do is try their hardest to screw you over but the service dept especially the lady that works there is awesome she is helpful just don't buy anything from the army boy cause if he doesn't know anything about the cars he sales. Just shows what kind of soldier he was most likely not double checking equipment I wouldn't want to serve in a fix hole with someone like that

We had an unpleasant experience Saturday 5/11/13 with Jim Cook Chevrolet. After my friend told salesman Joey Greene that we were going to take the truck that he looked at a couple days earlier, Lloyd took the time to remove his bed cover on the truck he was trading in, clean out his truck, take it to the car wash....only to arrive in Marion and see they let someone test drive it and then they let "US" wait around till they made the deal with that other person. He was told the truck was still available and Joey knew he was coming in. It's all about money and I'm sure they made a better deal for themselves. It was absolutly the wrong thing to do as we were right there and had already made the deal for the truck. So if it happened to him it can happen to you. They are not reliable, not reputable, not true to their word...basically to hell with you if they can make a better deal for themselves. We will never go by there to try to trade with them again and would not recommend them to anyone.
